Ricky Hatton Comeback: Video Teaser For Official Nov. 24 Return, 'Pride in Battle'

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

As you may or may not have read already (hey, I know it's really early morning for most of our readers), Ricky Hatton has officially announced his return to boxing, which will take place on November 24 in Manchester. Below is the teaser video for the fight, which I think is just awesome:

I think it's absolutely perfect. Ab-so-lute-ly perfect. Like, Curt Hennig-level.

There's also already an official site for the fight itself, which is being titled "Pride in Battle." I love the fight poster -- or what will be the focus of the fight poster anyway.

I'm really interested to see who gets named the opponent for the November 24 fight, and though it may not be Lovemore N'dou as was earlier speculated (I've been told it will not be), I hope it's someone like that. Not a top-tier guy, of course, but not a total cookie either -- someone who can tell us where Ricky Hatton is, whether or not this is a good idea in practice and not just in theory, and whether he should be making this comeback at all.

If he beats someone competent, and maybe gets another tune-up if he sees fit, I see no reason he can't jump into a fight with Paulie Malignaggi next year. We know Paulie wants it.

We'll see what happens. But it's going to happen.
