Things got a little heated at today's Chavez Jr vs Martinez weigh-in event in Las Vegas, but it wasn't even the intense staredown between the fighters taking it to that level. It was the confrontation between Chavez Jr co-promoter Fernando Beltran and Martinez adviser Sampson Lewkowicz.
Video thanks to Fight Hub TV.
Chavez Jr came in at a light 158 pounds, with Martinez actually a pound heavier at 159. Fight night weights should still favor Chavez pretty heavily -- Julio has weighed in about 159 for recent fights, and then come to the ring anywhere between 180 and 185.

As for the near-brawl between Beltran and Lewkowicz, that fire was stoked at Wednesday's press conference, when Lewkowicz basically challenged Beltran to a fight, and Beltran said that Lewkowicz was all talk.
Lewkowicz said after that he felt Beltran had disrespected Martinez:
"He pushed my fighter. He shouldn't be putting his hands on my fighter. He had no right to push my fighter so I pushed him back. I'm not a violent person but I was ready to defend my fighter."
