Tonight beginning at 9 pm EDT on Showtime, we'll have live round-by-round coverage of all four main card fights on the Canelo vs Lopez show. Full coverage does begin at 8 pm EDT on Showtime Extreme, but all four of the main fights are on the Showtime broadcast this evening.

Brent Brookhouse will be handling the live coverage for this card tonight, as I'll be on the Chavez Jr vs Martinez card, which will also start at 9 pm EDT on HBO pay-per-view.

In the main event, young Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez (40-0-1, 29 KO) defends his WBC junior middleweight title against Josesito Lopez (30-4, 18 KO), who is hoping to pull off his second major upset in 2012 after beating Victor Ortiz in June.

The undercard will be three fights deep, and all have some action promise. The featured undercard bout will see Jhonny Gonzalez (52-7, 45 KO) defending his WBC featherweight title against Daniel Ponce De Leon (43-4, 35 KO) in what many expect could be the best fight of the entire weekend. Staff Picks: Gonzalez vs Ponce De Leon

In a 10-round welterweight bout, Marcos Maidana (31-3, 28 KO) will face veteran battler Jesus Soto Karass (26-7-3, 17 KO) in what could be another action-packed fight. In the televised opener, top young bantamweight Leo Santa Cruz (20-0-1, 11 KO) will make the first defense of his WBC bantamweight title against Eric Morel (46-3, 23 KO).
