Tickets for the fourth fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez, to be held on December 8 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, will go on sale on Friday, September 28.
If you were hoping for affordable, average fan-priced tickets like we saw for Chavez Jr vs Martinez and Canelo vs Lopez, this should end those dreams.
Promoted by Top Rank, in association with MP Promotions, Zanfer Promotions, Márquez Boxing, Tecate and MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, tickets to Pacquiao-Márquez 4 will go on sale Friday, September 28 at 1:00 p.m. ET / 10:00 a.m. PT. Tickets are priced at $1,200, $900, $600, $400, and $200 and are limited to 10 per person. To charge by phone with a major credit card, call Ticketmaster (800) 745-3000. Tickets also are available for purchase at www.mgmgrand.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
Pacquiao (54-4, 32 KO) and Marquez (54-6-1, 39 KO) drew a gate of $11,648,300 last November, good for ninth all-time on Nevada's list at the time, but pushed to 10th after Mayweather-Cotto this past May ($12,000,150).
I'm not even trying to say that Top Rank should have lower ticket prices here. They shouldn't, really, since these tickets will sell and make everyone a butt ton of money, and you have to expect that's the way it will go. If they could have charged these prices for Chavez Jr vs Martinez, they would have. We're talking about a different level of event here.
Anyone plan on going, or trying to?
