Povetkin vs Rahman: Epix to air heavyweight title clash on Saturday

Alexander Povetkin faces Hasim Rahman on Saturday in Germany, and Epix will carry the bout in the United States, with a live stream available online.

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

This Saturday from Germany, Alexander Povetkin will face Hasim Rahman for the WBA "regular" heavyweight title, and Epix will be carrying the fight in the United States on their TV channel, as well as with a live stream online at EpixHD.com.

The broadcast will begin at 5 pm EDT.

The fight will also be aired on ARD in Germany, as well as BoxNation in the UK. We will have live coverage of the BoxNation broadcast, which begins at 2:30 pm EDT, and will feature undercard action, including the European heavyweight title fight between Kubrat Pulev and Alexander Ustinov, plus junior middleweights Jack Culcay and Mark Thompson squaring off.

One might quibble with the content of the trailer above - e.g., 'Since when is Povetkin unstoppable?' - but hey, it's boxing on TV, and if no one else is going to carry heavyweight title fights, well, Epix has been there for us.
