Today at 2:30 pm EDT, Bad Left Hook will have live round-by-round coverage of the Povetkin vs Rahman card from Germany, when BoxNation goes live in the UK. The two main bouts on the show will also be airing on Epix and streaming live on EpixHD.com in the United States, and ARD in Germany also has the card.
In the main event, Alexander Povetkin (24-0, 16 KO) will defend his WBA heavyweight title against faded veteran and former world champion Hasim Rahman (50-7-2, 41 KO), in a fight where few are giving Rahman any realistic hope of an upset.
Preview: Povetkin vs Rahman
The top undercard bout will pit Kubrat Pulev (16-0, 8 KO) against giant Alexander Ustinov (27-0, 21 KO) for Pulev's European title, and it's also essentially a semi-final eliminator for the IBF world title, currently held by Wladimir Klitschko.
Also featured on the undercard will be a 154-pound fight between Jack Culcay (12-0, 8 KO) and Mark Thompson (24-1, 14 KO); cruiserweight David Graf (7-0, 6 KO) will face Martyn Grainger (8-5, 3 KO); junior middleweight Reda Zam Zam (26-1, 13 KO) takes on Ciro Ciano (7-8-4, 1 KO); and German Olympian Enrico Kolling will make his pro debut in the light heavyweight division against Pablo Sosa (2-2-1, 1 KO).
With the new site, we'll be doing round-by-round just a bit differently. For those who are used to the old way, don't worry, that won't change: This particular post will be the home for all of your comments, and the round summaries will also be included as usual. But there will also by StoryStream updates for each round, and undercard fight results will go into the stream, too. The two top fights (Povetkin-Rahman and Pulev-Ustinov) will have normal recaps on the front page like you've always seen here. If this sounds confusing, it won't be when you see it in action.
Join us this afternoon for some boxing and our first live coverage on the new site.
