The weigh-in for tomorrow night's Showtime boxing card from Las Vegas goes live today at 5 p.m. EDT, and you can watch right here on Bad Left Hook.
In the main event, junior welterweights Lucas Matthysse (31-2, 29 KO) and Olusegun Ajose (30-0, 14 KO) meet for the interim WBC title and, in theory, a shot at the winner of Garcia vs Morales II, which will take place on October 20 in Brooklyn, also on Showtime. This fight has flown under the radar somewhat, and was not the original main event for this show, but it's a good matchup that could become better than that. Ajose is promising fireworks, while Matthysse really isn't saying much at all.
In the Showtime co-feature, middleweight prospect J'Leon Love (12-0, 7 KO) faces Ramon Valenzuela (7-1, 1 KO) in a 10-round bout.
Showtime Extreme will also have undercard bouts tomorrow. Veterans Ishe Smith (23-5, 11 KO) and Irving Garcia (17-7-3, 8 KO) in a 10-round junior middleweight bout, and 19-year-old junior middleweight prospect Daquan Arnett (6-0, 4 KO) will also be in action.
The Showtime Extreme bouts begin at 7 p.m. EDT on Saturday night, with the main card at 9 p.m. EDT on Showtime. Bad Left Hook will have live round-by-round coverage of all fights.
