On March 16 from Wembley Arena, Frank Warren has put together a card headlined by Ricky Burns vs Miguel Vazquez in a lightweight title unification bout, plus Nathan Cleverly vs Robin Krasniqi, George Groves vs Mouhamed Ali Ndiaye, and Dereck Chisora (hopefully). Here are some comments from the key figures at a press conference this week.
Frank Warren
"(Miguel Vazquez) is a good fighter, and Ricky's going to have his hands full. And he will bring out the best in Ricky Burns, and Ricky Burns has to have the best brought out of him to win this fight."
Ricky Burns
"Obviously I respect Vazquez. He's one of the top fighters in the weight division. A lot of people have been talking about me fighting Adrien Broner. I would say this could be a trickier fight actually than Adrien Broner."
"Last time I boxed at Wembley, I fought Michael Katsidis. I always get a great reception when I fight down here. I'm looking forward to getting in and getting on with it."
Nathan Cleverly
"I think 2013 is potentially a massive year for me. First we've got this mandatory challenger in March, (Robin) Krasniqi, who's a dangerous fighter. He's going to be hungry. There's (Bernard) Hopkins fighting for the IBF title now. There's (Chad) Dawson who's still the WBC champion, and (Beibut) Shumenov (holds the) WBA. Those are the fights I want to be involved in. I think towards the back end of 2013, that's when we'll see the big superfights happen."
"I was part of a few big shows in 2011. It's a great experience and a great feeling."
Frank Warren
"Krasniqi's a tough customer, so Nathan's got to be at his best. He can't afford to slip up. If he does, he's going to be out -- it's gonna be a big, big setback for him. He's got to really be focused and win this fight, not only just win it, win it well, and look good doing it."
"(George Groves) had an unfortunate year last year, but he finished the year in great style, beating Glen Johnson. I think he's really come on."
George Groves
"I've had to work. I've had hard fights for all of those titles, and this is a hard fight for the European title. I've got that. If there's something I can step up and grab hold of, I will. If not, I'll be there and be ready to defend it."
"If something crops up, a world title crops up, we're gonna grab it. I've got Adam Booth working for me on that side of things, I've got Frank Warren working for me as well, so hopefully I'll got all bases covered."
"This guy's a good fighter. He's only been beat once, he lost on a split decision. He's not a loser, he's a winner, and so am I. We're gonna go and have a good dust-up come March 16, and we're gonna steal the show in London."
Frank Warren
"(Dereck Chisora) won't be allowed to fight until he gets his license. The board are going to have a hearing. It's been a year since those terrible scenes in Germany. Since then, there was the show at West Ham. He's matured a lot."
Dereck Chisora
"I promise to behave. (fingers crossed) Cross my heart and hope to die."
"David Haye's always going to fight because he loves boxing. David Price, Tyson Fury, those boys haven't been tested yet. (editor's note: Oh?) Has David Price gone over ten rounds yet? No he hasn't. Has he gone over seven rounds yet? No he hasn't. Because he's been boxing nobodies. Anybody could have beaten Audley Harrison. ... I think they should just get in the ring, those two (Price and Fury), and sort it out."
