Tom Casino/SHOWTIME

Friday, January 25

TyC Sports (Argentina), 8:00 pm EST, Yesica Patricia Marcos vs Marcela Eliana Acuna, Fabian Oscar Orozco vs Ramon Contreras.

ESPN2, 9:00 pm EST, Sergiy Dzinziruk vs Brian Vera, Tony Luis vs Jose Hernandez. Dzinziruk continues the late-period U.S. portion of his career, as the former junior middleweight titlist takes on scrappy Texan Vera at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY. Dzinziruk (37-1-1, 24 KO) is 1-1-1 in U.S. bouts, beating Daniel Dawson, losing to Sergio Martinez, and drawing with Jonathan Gonzalez. Vera (21-6, 12 KO) has a pair of wins over Sergio Mora. In the co-feature, Canada's Luis (15-0, 7 KO), a 25-year-old junior welterweight prospect, faces faces Fort Worth's Hernandez (13-6-1, 5 KO). BLH will have live coverage.

SHO, 10:00 pm EST, Demetrius Andrade vs Freddy Hernandez, Raymond Serrano vs Emmanuel Taylor. Andrade (18-0, 13 KO) takes his act to ShoBox, where he'll be free of Teddy Atlas' criticism. This fight will be in the 154-pound division, after competing at 160 recently. The 24-year-old former Olympian takes on Freddy Hernandez (30-3, 20 KO), who is probably best known for getting sparked by Andre Berto in one round, or more positively, for knocking the hell out of DeMarcus Corley back in 2010. In his last two, he's beaten Luis Collazo and lost to Erislandy Lara. Hernandez is no world-beater, but a hell of a lot better than most of the guys Andrade has been fighting. BLH will have live coverage.

Saturday, January 26

TyC Sports (Argentina), 8:00 pm EST, Yesica Yolanda Bopp vs Marisa Johanna Portillo.

SHO / BoxNation (UK), 10:00 pm EST, Lucas Matthysse vs Mike Dallas Jr, Selcuk Aydin vs Jesus Soto Karass, Jermell Charlo vs Harry Joe Yorgey. The current Golden Boy/SHO slate of fights looks a little troublesome to me, and it starts here. This wasn't supposed to be a main event, but Matthysse-Lundy wasn't really what you'd call a good fight, and neither is Matthysse-Dallas. Either way you slice it, you're talking about a top 140-pounder against most likely an also-ran; Lundy was coming off of a loss at 135, and Dallas (19-2-1, 8 KO) has not given any reason to believe he'll really trouble Matthysse (32-2, 30 KO), I don't believe. Aydin-Soto Karass should be a really fun fight, though, and Charlo-Yorgey is a solid matchup for the prospect. BLH will have live coverage.

Cazares_vs_perez_banner_medium

CadenaTres (Mexico), 10:00 pm EST, Romulo Koaischa vs Jose de Jesus Guerrero.

TV Azteca (Mexico), 10:30 pm EST, Jorge Paez Jr vs Francisco Fuentes, Felipe Orucuta vs Fernando Lumacad.
