Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez hit the scales today in Las Vegas for tomorrow night's HBO pay-per-view main event at the Thomas & Mack Center, with both men making weight comfortably for their WBO welterweight title clash.
Bradley (30-0, 12 KO) weighed in at 146 pounds, while Marquez (55-6-1, 40 KO) came in at 144½, his heaviest career weigh-in, but about where he's looked comfortable in his last two fights with Manny Pacquiao, where he came in at 142 and 143.
Bradley was cut as always, while Marquez, too, was pretty well shredded. All that's left now is the fight.
Undercard Weights
Orlando Salido and Orlando Cruz came in at 126 and 125, respectively, for their WBO featherweight title fight. Vasyl Lomachenko weighed in at 125 pounds for his pro debut, while Jose Ramirez came in at 126½, a half-pound over the limit. One should expect that fight to go on either way. And Seanie Monaghan weighed in at 174 with Anthony Caputo Smith at 175.5 for their light heavyweight bout. All three of those fights will be on the PPV broadcast.
As for the fights that will be streamed online by TopRank.TV, those weights were as follows:
- Eric Watkins 175 - Trevor McCumby TBW
- Jun Doliguez 126 - Giovanni Caro TBW
- Alberto Herrera 147.5 - Mikael Zewski 147.5
- Kenny Abril 146.5 - Brad Solomon 146
