Bradley vs Marquez results: Vasyl Lomachenko dominates in pro debut

Two-time Olympic gold medalist Vasyl Lomachenko didn't disappoint in his pro debut, winning in four rounds tonight over a credible professional fighter.

Vasyl Lomachenko of Ukraine won Olympic gold medals in 2008 and 2012, cruising to both of them and racking up a 396-1 amateur record. When he entered London last year, he was considered the best fighter in the amateur game, and that didn't really change after the games.

Now, he's a professional, and his pro debut lived up to the hype. Lomachenko went to 1-0 (1 KO) as a professional with a TKO-4 win over Jose Ramirez (25-4, 15 KO), twice dropping the tough Mexican on body shots, once in the first round, and then late in the fourth, which forced Russell Mora to stop the bout.

The 25-year-old Lomachenko will reportedly fight for a world title in his second pro fight, and the plan sooner than later is to pit him against another two-time Olympic gold medalist, Guillermo Rigondeaux, who currently is the super bantamweight world champion.
