Tomorrow night on HBO, Mike Alvarado will host Ruslan Provodnikov in Denver in a 12-round junior welterweight main event, a fight expected by most to be a war and a potential Fight of the Year contender when all is said and done. The fighters will weigh in for the bout today at 5:00 pm EDT, and you can watch the stream live at Top Rank TV.
Alvarado (34-1, 23 KO) is the favorite in the fight, but Provodnikov (22-2, 15 KO) showed earlier this year against Timothy Bradley that he can hold his own against high-end fighters, and he's a live dog at the very least in this matchup.
Also fighting on the card but not televised (except on the undercard stream) will be Juan "Baby Bull" Diaz, the former lightweight titleholder who returned to the ring this year after a brief retirement. Diaz (37-4, 19 KO) continues his slow build back into shape and hopefully into contention tomorrow against Juan Santiago (14-10-1, 8 KO).
