The NBA is back, and last night in New York, the Knicks held off the Milwaukee Bucks for a 90-83 win at Madison Square Garden, which wasn't exactly impressive, but the Knicks aren't exactly impressive. Meanwhile, the mighty Indiana Pacers are 2-0 on the year, the only team to win games on back-to-back nights to start the season, though the Warriors could also do that tonight if they beat the Clippers.
Oh, right, why we're here -- Gennady Golovkin and Curtis Stevens, who headline an HBO boxing card from the Theater at MSG on Saturday night, were in attendance yesterday evening for the game, and got to hit up the Knicks' Blue Carpet, too.
Golovkin (27-0, 24 KO) and Stevens (25-3, 18 KO) are expected to have a real war that probably won't last too long, as they're both devastating punchers in the middleweight division, really possibly the two hardest punchers at the weight. Each man has one-shot power, and while Golovkin is the big favorite, someone who can thump like "Showtime" Stevens should never be counted out.
