Monday, November 11
FOX Sports 1, 10:00 pm EST, Luis Ramos Jr vs Fidel Maldonado Jr, Fernando Guerrero vs Raymond Gatica, Terrell Gausha vs Andres Calixto Ray. Not a bad card if you just want to see some fights. Ramos-Maldonado is a solid main event between a couple of decent fighters, Guerrero is looking to get back in the win column, and Gausha is a prospect worth watching. There will be a thread for the show tonight?
Tuesday, November 12
Sport TV (BRA), whatever pm EST, Michael Oliveira vs Norberto Gonzalez, Yunieski Gonzalez vs Jinner Guerrero, Yuri Foreman vs Javier Gomez. I can't find TV listings for Brazil because we sports sites have sort of ruined Google searching for TV times with our nonsense. Anyway, it's just Michael Oliveira.
Thursday, November 14
*Sky Sports (UK), 3:00 pm EST, Prizefighter - International Heavyweights. Jason Gavern, Michael Sprott, James Toney, Damian Wills, Larry Olubamiwo, Tom Little, Matt Legg, and Brian Minto will square off in a single elimination tournament until a winner is crowned. 2012 Super Heavyweight Gold Medalist Anthony Joshua will have his 3rd pro fight against Hrvoje Kisicek in the "feature attraction."
Friday, November 15
TyC Sports (ARG), 10:00 pm EST, Roberto Bolonti vs TBA, Nazareno Gaston Ruiz vs Miguel Leonardo Caceres.
Saturday, November 16
Main Event PPV (AUS), 1:00 am EST, David Tua vs Alexander Ustinov, Robert Berridge vs Daniel MacKinnon. The 5'10" Tua might have to pull some fat Little Mac moves to hit the 6'7" Ustinov in the face. Tua, who turns 41 later this month, hasn't fought since his August 2011 loss to Monte Barrett, and the fact that he went 24 rounds and went 0-1-1 against Monte Barrett tells you most of what you need to know about where he is as a fighter these days. David Tua is easy to love, but he never quite "made it" as far as being a serious threat goes, and he's not even knocking people out anymore. His last KO came against Shane Cameron, who's really a cruiserweight, back in 2009. He hasn't stopped anyone in his last four. Ustinov is not any good at all, but he is very tall and very large.
*BoxNation (UK), 2:00 pm EST, Sergey Rabchenko vs Bradley Pryce. Unbeaten EBU and Silver WBC light middleweight champion RabchenKO will look to get win #25. Pryce isn't expected to give him much trouble.
NBC, 2:30 pm EST, Tomasz Adamek vs Vyacheslav Glazkov, Karl Dargan vs Mike Brooks. Adamek looked refreshed in August, but that was against Dominick Guinn, who can make anyone decent look refreshed. Glazkov is better than Guinn, but not by enough to make up the gap between Guinn and Adamek, probably, and Glazkov was lucky to escape with a draw against Malik Scott earlier this year. Dargan (13-0, 7 KO) is a 28-year-old Philly prospect in the lightweight division. His opponent Mike Brooks is 10-0-1 (2 KO), a 26-year-old out of Long Island. BLH will have live coverage.
3+ (DEN) / TV10 (SWE) / Viasat Sport (NOR), 2:30 pm EST, Patrick Nielsen vs Jose Pinzon.
Channel 5 (UK), 5:00 pm EST, James DeGale vs Dyah Davis. As usual, UK promoters and fighters hype up any visiting American as some sort of notable deal. DeGale believes that beating Dyah Davis, a decent 32-year-old non-contender, will propel him to greater things. I mean, it might, kind of, but it won't be that he beat Davis that could make DeGale a serious world threat. BLH will have live coverage.
HBO / BoxNation (UK), 10:00 pm EST, Andre Ward vs Edwin Rodriguez. This will be the first and last fight for unbeaten super middleweight champ Ward in 2013, and it's his first bout since September 2012, when he chewed up Chad Dawson. Really, this fight is kind of a stroke of luck and desperation. Rodriguez is advised by Al Haymon, but HBO went after this fight anyway simply because there are so few options at 168 pounds that Ward hasn't already dealt with. Rodriguez is the most credible fresh opponent who was available, and it's a perfectly good fight. Rodriguez has been winning and looking good doing it, and though he'll be the huge underdog on Saturday, he's fought to get this fight. This is what he's been aiming to do, face the best in the world. BLH will have live coverage.
TyC Sports (ARG), 10:00 pm EST, Ricardo Marcelo Ramallo vs Mateo Damian Veron.
*Fox Deportes / Televisa (MEX), 10:00 pm EST, Daniel Ponce De Leon vs Joksan Hernandez, Robert Manzanarez vs Alejandro Barrera. This will be Ponce's 1st fight back since the knockout loss to Abner Mares. Hernandez is a former contender that should pose little threat.
UniMas, 11:30 pm EST, Chris Avalos vs Rolly Lunas, Jose Felix Jr vs Santos Benavides, Jose Benavidez vs Abraham Alvarez Osuna.
*Azteca 7 (MEX), 11:30 pm EST, Jorge Arce vs Giovanni Caro. El Travieso is back! We last saw him against Nonito Donaire in 2012 for one last payday but apparently he wants to work his way back to another one... Caro will be Arce's 72nd pro fight.
