As he prepares to enter the ring for the second time in 2013, Tomasz Adamek says he's hoping that a win over Vyacheslav Glazkov on November 16 will set up a 2014 fight against world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. Adamek will face Glazkov on NBC next Saturday afternoon.
Adamek (49-2-1, 29 KO) fought four times in 2012, and says that by the time he faced Steve Cunningham in December -- a debated victory to say the least for the Polish star -- he was worn out. A long break, he says, has helped his body, and Adamek did look fresher in his August win over Dominick Guinn.
Glazkov (15-0-1, 11 KO) was fortunate to escape a fight earlier this year against Malik Scott with a draw instead of a loss, but he's a decent fighter, and like most guys Adamek fights, he'll have a pretty good size advantage in the bout.
If Adamek does win as expected, do you want to see him fight Wladimir next year? Or to put it another way, is that a fight that might as well happen, given the dearth of contenders available for Klitschko?
