Bad Left Hook Radio - Nov. 5, 2013: Abdusalamov and boxing's brutal reality, fight recaps and previews

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

This week's BLH Radio contains the usual recaps (Golovkin-Stevens and Perez-Abdusalamov) and previews (Donaire-Darchinyan II, Martinez-Garcia, Martirosyan-Andrade), but I also tried to get into the Magomed Abdusalamov situation, and the way that boxing fans -- or at least this boxing fan -- deal with the harsh reality that this is a brutally violent sport that we watch, that we cheer, and that we sometimes complain about when there isn't enough horrifying violence for our bloodlusting tastes.

It's just about 40 minutes this week, and I also give my thoughts on a potential Gennady Golovkin vs Andre Ward fight, which may be a forced issue by next year if either (or both) of them simply run out of opposition, which isn't far off even now.

I do want to thank y'all for listening every week, because I do appreciate it. It can sometimes be a chore to do the show, to be honest, simply because some weeks I'm not really "feeling it," but you guys have made it fun to do because of your feedback, both good and bad. So thanks. New episode next week!
