Everyone is ready to go for tonight's HBO tripleheader from Corpus Christi, Texas, with two world title fights and a big grudge rematch on deck.
In the night's main event, Rocky Martinez will defend his WBO super featherweight title against Mikey Garcia, an unbeaten former featherweight titleholder. Garcia, the betting favorite, weighed in at 128¾ pounds, with Martinez at 129¾, just under the 130-pound limit.
Nonito Donaire will face Vic Darchinyan in a featherweight bout, a rematch from their much-talked about fight from 2007, when Donaire came from nowhere to knock out the seemingly indestructible Darchinyan in a Showtime main event. Since then, Donaire has been one of the best fighters in the sport pound-for-pound, while Darchinyan has bounced around the super flyweight, bantamweight, and super bantamweight divisions, with success, but falling short of world titles at 118 and 122. Donaire weighed in at 125¼, with Darchinyan at 125¾. It's the first featherweight fight for either man.
The night's opener will pit unbeaten contenders Demetrius Andrade and Vanes Martirosyan, with the vacant WBO junior middleweight title up for grabs. Both weighed in at 153¾, under the 154-pound limit.
