Manny Pacquiao's tax issues increase as IRS claims he owes $18 million

Manny Pacquiao's financial news hasn't been great this year. First, officials in the Philippines froze his bank accounts, and now, the IRS is reportedly taking aim as well.

Though his camp has denied any wrongdoing or oversights, it's well-reported news that Manny Pacquiao is facing some pretty serious tax issues in his native Philippines, and now, the IRS is reportedly coming for him, too. TMZ reports that documents have been filed claiming Pacquiao owes the IRS in excess of $18 million.

TMZ Sports has obtained official documents which show the IRS claims Manny stiffed the government out of federal income taxes from 2006 to 2010 ... totaling $18,313,668.79 in debt.

Here's the yearly breakdown:

2006 -- $1,160,324.30
2007 -- $2,035,992.50
2008 -- $2,862,437.11
2009 -- $8,022,915.87
2010 -- $4,231,999.01

I don't know anything about Pacquiao's financial situation other than to suggest that this doesn't look very good for him, but that's pretty much common sense, I suppose. I don't know how this will turn out and frankly it's really none of my business, but then what is my business? What a question, perhaps to be answered another time. Toodle-oo!
