Judah vs Malignaggi: Amir Khan 'leaning toward' Paulie Malignaggi as his pick

Amir Khan tells SNY that Paulie Malignaggi is the better boxer between he and Zab Judah, and that if Malignaggi gets into a rhythm, he'll win Saturday's main event.

This weekend you're going to be commentating on Showtime for Paulie Malignaggi vs Zab Judah. The battle for Brooklyn. Two fighters you've already fought. You knocked out Judah, you stopped Malignaggi in the 11th round. So size up both of these fighters. In your opinion, who wins?

Amir Khan

I do give it a 50-50 fight. Experience-wise, they're both very experienced fighters. Maybe I'm leaning a little bit more toward Malignaggi. I think he's the better boxer. But he doesn't punch as hard, whereas Judah has the knockout punch. He can hurt people. He has the power to put someone away. It's a tough call. I give it a 50-50 fight. If Judah catches Malignaggi early, maybe he can take the fight. But if Malignaggi gets into his rhythm and starts boxing him, I think he'll take that fight.

You were supposed to be fighting a guy who's on the undercard, Devon Alexander, and you called that fight off. So what's next for you? Who do you want to fight?

Amir Khan

Look, I'd love to fight Mayweather. It'd be an honor to share a ring with such a great fighter. In my opinion, he's probably one of the best fighters that's lived. He's very smart, very clever in the ring. But if you look at the last few opponents he faces, he's always facing big punchers, but slow fighters, slow feet. If he fights someone like me, there's speed, there's fast footwork, there's a lot of movement in there. I'm not one to stand there in front of him and say, "Hit me." I'll keep moving. It'll be a very explosive fight.
