Tonight at 7:30 pm EST, before the Judah-Malignaggi quadruple-header goes live from Brooklyn at 8, Showtime's All Access will be back for the first episode of a two-part series leading up to the December 14 fight between Adrien Broner and Marcos Maidana.
Broner (27-0, 22 KO) will face a big puncher in Maidana (34-3, 31 KO) after struggling a bit in his welterweight debut in June, beating Paulie Malignaggi for the WBA title. Maidana last fought on June 8, two weeks before Broner-Malignaggi, and stopped Josesito Lopez in a war.
The two are headlining the Alamodome, and while it's not expected that 40,000 will turn up there for this fight they way they did for Canelo-Trout in April, there's no doubt that San Antonio could be a big-time boxing market, and there's a good undercard, too, with Keith Thurman vs Jesus Soto Karass, Leo Santa Cruz vs Cesar Seda, Beibut Shumenov vs Tamas Kovacs, Ricardo Alvarez vs Rod Salka, Jermain Taylor vs Juan Carlos Candelo, Rau'Shee Warren vs Jose Silveira, Robert Easter vs Henry Paredes, and Jamel Herring vs Lance Williams.
