Tonight at 9 pm EST from the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, ESPN Friday Night Fights returns with a doubleheader featuring series regular Delvin Rodriguez in the main event, his 15th career fight on FNF.
Rodriguez (26-6-3, 14 KO) will look to bounce back from a loss to Austin Trout last June, as he faces George "Comanche Boy" Tahdooahnippah (31-0-1, 23 KO) in the middleweight main event, scheduled for 10 rounds. Rodriguez, 32, is looking to get back into the mix either at 154 or now at 160, while Tahdooahnippah, 34, is hoping to rise above the soft Oklahoma club circuit and really make his mark in the sport going forward.
In the co-feature, Mongolian-born Bayan Jargal (17-3-3, 11 KO) faces Chris Howard (14-2-1, 6 KO) in a lightweight 10-rounder that is frankly unlikely to really mean all that much, so hopefully it's just a good fight to watch on TV. Neither are contenders or can be seriously taken as potential contenders at this point.
