British and Commonwealth featherweight champion Lee Selby has signed with Matchroom Boxing, as Eddie Hearn continues to strengthen his stable.
It's the third notable signing for Matchroom since last Monday, following the Frank Warren defections of George Groves and Ricky Burns. Selby had been a free agent, and last fought in February, when he beat Martin Lindsay on a Matchroom-promoted event.
Selby, 26, suffered a points defeat early in his pro career, but rose to the top of the domestic ranks in 2011, when he beat Stephen Smith for the British and Commonwealth belts. Wins over John Simpson and Patrick Okine followed before Lindsay in February.
Selby (14-1, 5 KO) will return on April 20 against an opponent to be announced in Blackpool. The main event that night on Sky Sports will see Brian Rose face Joachim Alcine in a junior middleweight fight. Warren is also running on that date in London, with Cleverly-Krasniqi and Dereck Chisora's next bout.
