Today at 2:30 pm EDT, BoxNation goes live with a card from York Hall in London, headlined by middleweight prospect and reigning British and Commonwealth champion Billy Joe Saunders taking on veteran Matthew Hall.
Saunders (16-0, 10 KO) hopes to continue his impressive climb up the ladder. Having already likely done as much as he can do domestically, he's getting close to moving up to European level or starting to work his way toward a possible world title shot in the fairly near future. Hall (25-6, 16 KO) is past his best days, but as far as keeping busy goes, Saunders could certainly have a worse opponent.
The undercard is filled with designed showcase matchups, notably including a rematch between welterweight prospect Bradley Skeete (10-0, 4 KO) and veteran Peter McDonagh (18-27, 2 KO). McDonagh can't punch and isn't particularly good, but he's known to give young fighters good rounds, and he lost a 97-95 decision to Skeete in September of last year, showing some holes in the kid's game. Skeete seems to have improved since then, and today's his chance to prove it.
