Wladimir Klitschko
"Dear friends, it's time to get back to work, and I'm really eager to get in the ring, which is going to happen on May 4, against Francesco Pianeta. Undefeated fighter that wants to become world champion. He's powerful, young, and hungry, so I'm going to face a real great challenge. I'm going to my training camp in a couple of weeks, and I will do as usual my preparation, and will keep you updated how things are going."
Similar to last year, when our dear Wladimir tried to sell 5'11", 40-year-old Jean Marc Mormeck as a credible foe, going so far as to compare him to Mike Tyson, which caused the entire boxing world to explode with both gut-busting laughter and butt-busting diarrhea. Even Mormeck was like, "No, dude."
So are you buying this one? That's a stupid question. Of course you're not. Of course you know that Wladimir is just trying to make this sound good for the sort of fans that can be convinced that Pianeta is a real threat. You're too smart for that. You've seen too many things. You have the curse of knowledge, and it cannot be taken from you, unless you get hit in the head with a paint can like in Home Alone, maybe.
Klitschko-Pianeta will be carried by Epix in the U.S., so you'll have an option to see it legally here, and HBO won't be spending their money on this one. Maybe if the brothers make another documentary.
