Tonight at 9 pm EST on ESPN2, Friday Night Fights returns with a junior welterweight main event and a heavyweight co-feature. We'll be here with live coverage and commentary, followed by immediate post-fight results.
In the main event, 28-year-old Victor Cayo looks to win his fifth straight fight when he takes on Maryland's Emmanuel Taylor in a 10-round bout. Cayo (31-3, 22 KO) has looked solid when in against overmatched foes, but has failed pretty conclusively in steps up, losing by KO to Marcos Maidana and Lamont Peterson, and even getting stopped by Nate Campbell in 2012, the only loss he's suffered on Dominican soil.
Taylor (16-1, 11 KO) is a 22-year-old prospect whose loss came against Prenice Brewer via split decision in 2011. Since then, he's won twice, including a win over Tito Serrano in his last outing.
In the co-feature, 31-year-old Russian bomber Magomed Abdusalamov looks to keep his undefeated record and KO streak intact, as he brings his 16-0 (16 KO) mark into the ring against Puerto Rico's Victor Bisbal (21-1, 15 KO). Despite his record, Bisbal, 32, really isn't very good, and he's never been scheduled for a fight over eight rounds, having only gone eight once in his career. This one is set for ten, but odds are it won't go far.
