Nonito Donaire and Guillermo Rigondeaux made weight today in New York for tomorrow night's WBO and WBA super bantamweight title unification fight on HBO, from Radio City Music Hall in New York.
Donaire weighed in at 121.6 pounds, with Rigondeaux at 121.5, for the 122-pound fight. Their bout is the only fight on the card that HBO will broadcast, but Top Rank will stream the undercard live starting at 7:00 pm EDT. HBO will go live at 11:00 pm EDT.
Donaire (31-1, 20 KO) is the favorite against Rigondeaux (11-0, 8 KO), but it's a compelling fight on paper, and the winner will stand out as the true king in the division.
We'll continue to have updates on Donaire-Rigondeaux tonight and tomorrow, with live coverage of the show starting with the undercard at 7:00 pm EDT, which will feature prospects Felix Verdejo, Jesse Hart, Mikael Zewski, Sean Monaghan, Glen Tapia, and others.
