HBO announces commentary teams for Martinez-Murray, Arreola-Stiverne split site show

HBO has set their commentary teams for their April 27 split site double-header from Argentina and California.

HBO will have a split site double-header on April 27, taking place in Argentina and California, with Sergio Martinez facing Martin Murray in Buenos Aires, and Chris Arreola taking on Bermane Stiverne in Ontario, California, in a WBC heavyweight title eliminator.

Martinez-Murray will be called from ringside by Jim Lampley, Max Kellerman, and Roy Jones Jr, with Harold Lederman serving as unofficial scorer. In other words, the A-team is going to Argentina.

Arreola-Stiverne will be called by Bob Papa and Andre Ward, with Steve Weisfeld actually having to earn his check this time around, scoring the fight at ringside for the broadcast. Weisfeld figures to be the eventual replacement for Lederman, so we'll see how he does, or if he pulls a Chuck Giampa or a Joe Cortez (too many things to link).

It's nice that HBO will be sending out two teams to call the fights live in person, though, since commentators watching TV feeds from thousands of miles away just don't have the same feel.
