Wladimir Klitschko returns to the ring today in Germany to defend his WBA, IBF, and WBO heavyweight titles against Italy's Francesco Pianeta, from the SAP-Arena in Mannheim.
The show will go live at 4:30 pm EDT on Epix and EpixHD.com in the US, the latter delivering a free stream if you sign up for a two-week trial. RTL in Germany and ESPN UK will also have the fight live overseas.
Klitschko (59-3, 50 KO) is the massive favorite yet again, as Pianeta (28-0-1, 15 KO) is largely unproven. While the 6'5" southpaw could in theory present some stylistic challenges for Wladimir, the 37-year-old Klitschko has been on such a dominant roll that it's hard to imagine a lightly-regarded fringe contender giving him any real trouble.
We'll be here, anyway, as Wladimir's fights do always matter, and are always events. It's a fine appetizer for our Mayweather-Guerrero coverage starting at 7:00 pm EDT tonight.
