Scott Quigg will face Brazilian William Prado on June 29 in Hull, when he makes his Matchroom Boxing debut and return to Sky Sports on the Rees-Crolla undercard.
Quigg (25-0-1, 18 KO) is getting what is really a tune-up and little more, which is about what was expected considering it's an undercard fight, and he hasn't fought since November. Prado (21-3-1, 14 KO) has a lot of wins over dudes who had never won a fight, and some losses against decent fighters. He's also really a bantamweight, so he'll be expected to be smaller than Quigg.
In other words, this won't be much of a fight, if it goes as it's meant to, and Quigg will probably look to take on a real challenge in his next fight, or maybe two fights after this. Still, it should be fun to hear Jim Watt tout the Brazilian's knockout percentage and wonder about the "mystery" of whether or not he'll turn out to be much of a fighter on the road against a real test.
