Three-time Olympian and bantamweight prospect Rau'Shee Warren improved to 5-0 (3 KO) or whatever FightFax has for his record counting his World Series of Boxing bouts, which is understandable but confusing and all, with a second round stoppage win over Jovany Fuentes tonight on the Malignaggi-Broner undercard.
Warren, 26, put Fuentes down twice in the first round on left hands, and a third time in the second round on a right, which prompted the opponent's corner to stop the bout. Fuentes (5-2, 4 KO) and his corner complained just before the bout when they learned it was scheduled for four rounds. As a TV swing bout, Warren-Fuentes was slated for either four or six, but the Fuentes corner briefly said they wouldn't fight if it weren't a six-round bout. As it turned out, he fought, and it wouldn't have mattered anyway.
Earlier results: Julian Williams UD-8 Joachim Alcine / Marcus Browne TKO-2 Ricardo Campillo
