Results and photos: Broner edges Malignaggi, Mitchell beats Banks, Bika wins first world title

Adrien Broner slipped past Paulie Malignaggi, Seth Mitchell evened up with Johnathon Banks in a heavyweight bore, and Sakio Bika won his first world title last night at the Barclays Center.

Adrien Broner

"Paulie fought exactly how I thought he was going to. He was shadow boxing. My next opponent, I'm going to let you all pick. I'm good. I beat Paulie. I left with his belt."

Paulie Malignaggi

"I think I worked him. This was a close fight. The fight could have went either way. I don't think he did enough to take the belt from the champion."

Sakio Bika

"I expected the fight to go the distance. He was tough, very tough. It was a great fight and I gave my heart and soul. I worked hard and I dedicated myself to this fight. I want to fight the best. I'll fight Andre Ward. I'll fight anyone."

BLH Recaps: Broner SD-12 Malignaggi / Mitchell UD-12 Banks / Bika MD-12 Periban / Warren TKO-2 Fuentes / Williams UD-8 Alcine / Browne TKO-2 Campillo

The SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING telecast will replay Sunday at 7:30 am ET/PT on SHOWTIME and Tuesday, June 25 at 10:00 pm ET/PT on SHOWTIME EXTREME.
