Last night's Showtime Championship Boxing card from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, wound up with some debate, some good fights, and also a heavyweight rematch that the network didn't want to include in the post-fight recap and highlights package, because that would have been an insult to the audience that already sat through the fight when it was live, held captive by its position before the main event, praying that eventually someone would land a good shot and end the misery, a prayer that like most, went unanswered.
Anyway, Adrien Broner's rock beat Paulie Malignaggi's scissors in the main event of an emotional, interesting fight, while in the best fight of the night, Sakio Bika and Marco Antonio Periban threw haymakers like a couple of roughnecks on payday who hit the tavern a little too hard.
BLH Recaps: Broner SD-12 Malignaggi / Mitchell UD-12 Banks / Bika MD-12 Periban / Warren TKO-2 Fuentes / Williams UD-8 Alcine / Browne TKO-2 Campillo
