Darley Perez: Yuriorkis Gamboa is in for the fight of his life

Underdog Darley Perez isn't in awe of Saturday night opponent Yuriorkis Gamboa, saying the world is in for a shock in Montreal.

Darley Perez doesn't have a big name or any hype behind him, and he's the B-side to his HBO co-feature on Saturday night against Yuriorkis Gamboa, a fighter who has been pushed by TV networks since the day he turned professional.

But the 29-year-old Colombian has no fear going into this weekend's fight, and is warning Gamboa that he better be ready for a real fight:

"Yuriorkis Gamboa is in for the fight of his life. The world will be stunned on June 8; so too will Gamboa. I warned him to prepare for me like I've prepared for him. I hope he's ready because I know I am."

Perez (28-0, 19 KO) has chewed up mostly lesser opposition thus far in his career, but as we keep saying, untested doesn't mean a lack of quality. It could mean he hasn't had the chance to break through. A fight with Gamboa (22-0, 16 KO) is that opportunity for Darley.

Anyone think we might see an upset on Saturday?
