All four main card fighters were on weight today in Montreal, for tomorrow night's HBO Boxing After Dark event at the Bell Center, featuring Chad Dawson defending the WBC light heavyweight title against Adonis Stevenson in the main event, and the return of Yuriorkis Gamboa in the co-feature.
Dawson (31-2, 17 KO) is looking to bounce back from a one-sided loss at super middleweight to Andre Ward, moving back up to his natural division at 175, against the power-punching Stevenson (20-1, 17 KO). Dawson weighed in at 173.4 pounds, with the 35-year-old Stevenson at 174.2.
Gamboa (22-0, 16 KO) is moving up to lightweight to face Colombia's Perez (28-0, 19 KO). The 31-year-old Cuban struggled past Michael Farenas in December, his first fighter with new promoter 50 Cent. Gamboa is hoping to get a title fight at 135 soon, and needs to win here -- though winning without impressing might actually make him more attractive for a lightweight titlist.
Gamboa weighed in at 134.2, with Perez at 134.6.
BLH will have more on both fights today and tomorrow, leading up to live coverage starting at 10:00 pm EDT, Saturday on HBO.
