Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez hit the strip and the MGM Grand today in front of a packed house in the lobby for their Grand Arrival ceremony, leading up to fight night on Saturday on Showtime pay-per-view. If you missed the live stream, you can check out the photos here, or check out these videos courtesy our colleagues at Fight Hub TV.
Canelo Alvarez: "It's more motivation. No pressure. It's more motivation. This is what I asked for. These big victories are something that I want. ... I can't say anything bad about Floyd. He's the best. He's the best and he's accomplished so much, but everybody has his time. And this is my time. ... I'm very happy. These big fights make history. That's what I wanted, I'm very happy."
Floyd Mayweather: "Social media and of course Canelo, he's a young, strong champion. He represents Mexico well. He's hungry, he's dedicated to his craft. I've been in the sport for 17 years now. I've been world champion 16 years. So when you bring the two together -- me, myself, personally I've never seen a fighter 44-0 and a guy 42-0 face each other. It's a very interesting matchup. ... There's nothing bad on my end and nothing bad on his end. It's obvious he's done something right. He's undefeated."
