Tonight at 10:00 pm EDT on FOX Sports 2 (which apparently very few people actually have, regrettably), Shawn Porter will face Julio Diaz in the main event of a tripleheader from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, as we build up even more to Saturday night's big Showtime pay-per-view card from the same venue.

Porter (21-0-1, 14 KO) and Diaz (40-8-1, 29 KO) fought last December on the Khan-Molina Showtime card, with Diaz surprising a lot of folks by pushing Porter to a 10-round draw. Since then, Diaz has gone to the UK and lost a competitive fight to Amir Khan, while Porter more or less manhandled Phil Lo Greco on Showtime Extreme on May 18.

On the undercard, super middleweight prospects Badou Jack (15-0, 10 KO) and Marco Antonio Periban (20-1, 13 KO) will meet in a 10-round fight. Periban was last seen on Showtime in a loss to Sakio Bika, while Jack last fought on July 19, easily defeating Farah Ennis in a less than thrilling encounter on Showtime. Jack is a Mayweather Promotions fighter, but there have been some obvious weaknesses in his game so far. If he's going to beat Periban, he needs to show improvement.

Opening the show will be a 10-round junior middleweight contest between prospects Hugo Centeno Jr (19-0, 10 KO) and Julian Williams (13-1, 7 KO). These are all good, well-matched fights, and this is definitely a show worth tuning in to see, however you do so. We'll be here with live coverage, so join us!
