Tonight's Showtime pay-per-view broadcast begins at 9:00 pm EDT, and Bad Left Hook will be here to give you live, up-to-the-minute round-by-round scoring, results, and full fight card discussion for the Mayweather vs Canelo event from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Round-by-round comments can be viewed in the comments of this post, and immediate post-fight recaps for all four bouts will go up as soon as each fight ends.
Floyd Mayweather (44-0, 26 KO) is the heavy favorite tonight, but Canelo Alvarez (42-0-1, 30 KO) is perceived as the greatest threat to Floyd that we've seen in a while now, if only because he's a physically bigger man, who also has 13 years of youth on his side. (Mayweather would say he has 13 years of experience on his.)
In the co-feature, Danny Garcia (26-0, 16 KO) will defend his WBC and WBA junior welterweight titles against Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32 KO) in a fight that has been almost as highly-anticipated as the main event among the hardcore boxing fans.
Also on the card, Ishe Smith (25-5, 11 KO) will defend the IBF junior middleweight title against Carlos Molina (21-5-2, 6 KO), and Ashley Theophane (33-5, 10 KO) will face Pablo Cesar Cano (26-3, 20 KO) in a 10-round catchweight bout fought at 142 pounds.
