Stevenson vs Cloud: Weights from Montreal

Tomorrow night's HBO boxing broadcast will start in Montreal with a WBC light heavyweight title fight between Adonis Stevenson and Tavoris Cloud. Today, the two hit the scales.

HBO/Will Hart

Adonis Stevenson and Tavoris Cloud both made weight for tomorrow night's HBO-televised WBC light heavyweight title fight, where Stevenson will make the first defense of the belt he won in June from Chad Dawson, while Cloud looks to rebound from his first career loss in March against Bernard Hopkins.

Stevenson (21-1, 18 KO) weighed in at 173.8 pounds, while Cloud (24-1, 19 KO) came in at 174.6 for the 175-pound fight. The 36-year-old Stevenson is looking to prove that his one-shot finish of Dawson in just 76 seconds was no fluke, and that he's a legitimate top fighter at the weight. Cloud, 31, is getting a quicker turnaround between fights than he had before facing Hopkins, where he had been out for 13 months.

It should be an action-packed fight from Montreal and is really the best fight of the weekend. The debut of Bradley-Marquez 24/7 will lead into Stevenson-Cloud, while the Chavez-Vera fight from Los Angeles will follow.
