Chavez Jr vs Vera weigh-in results: Main eventers make 173-pound limit for HBO fight

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Bryan Vera made weight for tomorrow night's HBO main event from the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

162, 163, 165, 168, 173, whatever. A weight's a weight, right you guys? Anyway, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr weighed in at 172.4 pounds for tomorrow night's HBO main event, with opponent Bryan Vera coming in at 171.2 pounds for the fight.

It's the first bout in over a year for Chavez (46-1-1, 32 KO), the former middleweight titlist who seems to have possibly squandered any goodwill he built up, because he's been shown for the type of guy he really is, but oh dear, there goes me having opinions. Got-dang it.

Vera (23-6, 14 KO) is possibly a live dog tomorrow, because he fights hard and is tough to deter. If Chavez is rusty or his conditioning stinks (as most seem to expect it will), it could be a tough night for the returning star.

Chavez-Vera is the only fight that will be televised by HBO from this card (they'll also have Adonis Stevenson vs Tavoris Cloud from Montreal), but here are the weights for the undercard fights, which will be streamed live on Top Rank TV starting at 6:30 pm EDT, and we'll have live coverage for those fights tomorrow evening, too.

4 or 6 Rounds: Jose Ramirez 141.4 vs Daniel Calzada 141
8 Rounds: Matt Korobov 161.8 vs Grady Brewer 160
6 Rounds: Oscar Valdez 127.4 vs Jose Morales 128
10 Rounds: Diego Magdaleno 131.8 vs Edgar Riovalle 132
6 Rounds: Gabino Saenz 120something or other vs Dominic Coca 128.6
10 Rounds: Karim Mayfield 144 vs Christopher Fernandez 144.8
8 Rounds: Daniel Sandoval 155 vs Richard Gutierrez 152
8 or 10 Rounds: Jose Felix Jr 132.6 vs Joseph Laryea 129.6
