Cotto vs Rodriguez preview video from HBO Sports

HBO's banking on their "epic fall season" of boxing saving an otherwise lackluster year, and they're back again this weekend with a big slate of fights.

Miguel Cotto returns to the ring this Saturday night from Orlando, Florida, where he'll have a new trainer, an old promoter, and an opponent who always comes to win in Delvin Rodriguez.

Cotto (37-4, 30 KO) went 0-2 in 2012, losing a fairly competitive fight to Floyd Mayweather before an upset loss to Austin Trout in December at Madison Square Garden. That loss sent Cotto to the sidelines, where he has regrouped, hooked up with trainer Freddie Roach, and taken his career back to the promoter that originally handled it, Top Rank.

The 32-year-old Cotto is still technically a free agent, but says he plans to finish his career with Top Rank over three fights. That could change if the right offer comes around, but for now it looks like Miguel will end where he started.

Rodriguez (28-6-3, 16 KO) isn't a serious contender, but he's a tough, credible fighter who doesn't phone in performances. At a little over 5'10", he'll have a major height advantage. Cotto has always done very well against this level of opponent, but fighters do get old.

Also on the live card, Terence Crawford (21-0, 16 KO) will take on Andrey Klimov (16-0, 8 KO) in a 10-round lightweight bout. The 26-year-old Crawford has made some waves this year, beating Breidis Prescott and Alejandro Sanabria on HBO.

A tape delay showing of Klitschko-Povetkin will also be part of the broadcast, which will be followed by the second episode of Bradley-Marquez 24/7.
