Alfredo Angulo: Boxing's biggest hipster

Alfredo Angulo's favorite album from last year was Waxahatchee's Cerulean Salt.

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

Alfredo Angulo continues to adjust his look, and now he looks like someone who was super into The Mars Volta before they toured with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and sold out. Dig hipster Angulo:

Angulo (22-3, 18 KO) sported this look at today's press conference to promote his March 8 Showtime pay-per-view fight against Canelo Alvarez (42-1-1, 30 KO). Both fighters are coming off of losses, but this promises to be an action fight and should pick up plenty of buzz as it nears.

Angulo promised to come forward as he always does, and trainer Virgil Hunter said he felt that Angulo had his last fight with Erislandy Lara in hand before getting his eye cracked and busted open, which led to the stoppage loss. He put Lara down twice in that fight.

Can Angulo pull the upset on March 8? I get the feeling there will be some people leaning that way in the six weeks to come. It's an interesting fight.
