Kelly Pavlik has apparent seizure on the way to courtroom

Former middleweight champion of the world Kelly Pavlik has suffered what appears to be a seizure this morning.

Former middlweight champion of the world Kelly Pavlik has appeared to suffer a seizure while walking into a courtroom this morning for a pretrial on a theft charge.

According to Vindicator reporter Kalea Hall, Pavlik made a grunting noise and then collapsed on the floor before he began shaking. Mahoning County Sheriff's deputies were able to come to his aid and told him, "Breath, Kelly, breath." He was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center where he is being treated by emergency personnel.

Right now it's too early to tell exactly what is going on with Pavlik and why he had the apparent seizure. It's well-known that he has had alcohol problems in the past, but we never want to speculate on what occurred until after we have all of the information.

Pavlik has had several issues with the law lately. The pretrial was for Pavlik allegedly failing to pay a cab driver for a ride. He has also been recently cited for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and failure to appear in court (also for the cab driver incident).
