Shinsuke Yamanaka vs Suriyan Sor Rungvisai: Live streaming results and round by round coverage

Shinsuke Yamanaka defends the WBC bantamweight belt against Suriyan Sor Rungvisai this morning in Toyko.

This morning at 6:55 am EDT, Shinsuke Yamanaka headlines in Tokyo against Thailand's Suriyan Sor Rungvisai, with Yamanaka's WBC bantamweight title at stake. BLH will be here for the early morning live coverage. NTV in Japan and Channel 7 in Thailand will televise.

Yamanaka (21-0-2, 16 KO) will be making the sixth defense of the title he won in 2011 against Christian Esquivel. So far, he's beaten Vic Darchinyan, Tomas Rojas, Malcolm Tunacao, Jose Nieves, Alberto Guevara, and Stephane Jamoye, and the 32-year-old has as good a claim to No. 1 in the world at 118 pounds as anyone does right now.

Suriyan (37-5-1, 16 KO) has won 17 straight since a 2012 loss to Yota Sato in a super flyweight title opportunity. Those wins have all come against mediocre or worse competition, though, and he's a rightful underdog in this fight.

The co-feature will see former 130-pound titlists Takahiro Ao (26-3-1, 12 KO) and Juan Carlos Salgado (26-3-1, 16 KO) meet in a fight to stay relevant in the lightweight division. Ao has won three in a row, while Salgado has lost two straight.
