Iron Mike Productions planning two cards in November

Mike Tyson's fledgling promotional outfit will host two events next month, the first in Pittsburgh featuring the return of "Lightning" Rod Salka.

Iron Mike Productions is getting busy with events in Pittsburgh and Tulsa in November which come on the heels of an excellent show back in August which saw a fight of the year candidate between Monty Meza Clay and Alan Herrera.

The Consul Energy Center in Pittsburgh will once again be the venue for the November 14 show which is headlined again by Meza Clay and Sammy Vasquez Jr. in separate bouts. Vasquez will take on Panama's Alberto Mosquera in a 10-round tilt.

Boxing fans will be treated to the return of "Lightning" Rod Salka as he looks to bounce back from his August loss to Danny Garcia. Salka will step in the ring with Meza Clay for the 10-round co-feature.

The following weekend, Iron Mike Productions will be at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for a card topped by Dominican prospect Felix Diaz as he takes on Chicago fan favorite Adrian Granados. The co-feature will see another Dominican in Claudio Marrero take on Juan Antonio Rodriguez whose most recent fight was a points loss to Javier Fortuna.

In an eight-round special attraction, Ukrainian Olympian Ievgen Khytrov will look for his seventh KO in seven fights against Louis Rose. Khytrov most recently destroyed Willie Fortune in one round and may be a prospect to watch.

Fox Sports 1 carried the August show, but there's no word on TV for either of these cards. In any case, it's good to see Iron Mike's company promoting more shows. The August show featured tough matchmaking which resulted in good action fights; hopefully this card will provide some fireworks, too.
