Ramirez vs Zuniga: Live streaming results and round by round coverage

Gilberto Ramirez takes on veteran Fulgencio Zuniga, with prospects Oscar Valdez and Oleksandr Gvodzyk on the undercard.

Mikey Williams/Top Rank

Tonight at 9:45 pm EST on HBO Latino, Gilberto Ramirez returns in the main event of a Top Rank promoted card from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, facing veteran Fulgencio Zuniga in a 10-round super middleweight bout.

Ramirez (29-0, 23 KO) is a top prospect and emerging contender in the 168-pound division, and the 23-year-old Mexican is nearing a potential world title shot in 2015. Zuniga (27-9-1, 24 KO) is a predictable but dangerous foe with knockout power, but he's struggled against better foes. That said, he's also durable, stopped only two times -- once by Kelly Pavlik way back in 2005, and then by Lucian Bute in 2009.

Zuniga has lost four of six. This will be Ramirez's fourth fight this year, with stoppage wins over Don Mouton (TKO-1), Giovanni Lorenzo (TKO-5), and Junior Talipeau (TKO-1).

Undercard (Top Rank TV starts at 8:15 pm EST)

  • Oscar Valdez (12-0, 11 KO) vs Alberto Garza (26-8-1, 21 KO), featherweights, 8 rounds
  • Oleksandr Gvodzyk (3-0, 2 KO) vs Otis Griffin (24-17-2, 10 KO), light heavyweights, 8 rounds
  • TOP RANK TV: Casey Ramos (18-0, 5 KO) vs Manuel Rojas (9-1, 2 KO), super featherweights, 8 rounds
  • TOP RANK TV: Ivan Najera (14-0, 8 KO) vs Luis Cervantes (7-8-3, 2 KO), lightweights, 8 rounds
