Boxing fans! Scott and Connor are here, once again, to tell you what to think--or at least what we think--about a big night of fights in the world of boxing. Manny Pacquiao returned to form with a 12-round beating of Chris Algieri that, while it may not have ended in the knockout that many fans expected and hoped for, certainly made the case for the continued presence of Pacquiao's punching power, as the Filipino knocked down the Long Island native six times en route to a truly lopsided decision.
Every hardcore fan's favorite fighter also turned in a fantastic performance tonight, as Vasyl Lomachenko outpointed Kwanpichit Onesongchaigym over twelve rounds, the majority of those rounds having been won with a broken hand. The injury only seemed to make the amateur standout more impressive, as he beat his tough opponent all over the ring and smartly outboxed using little more than a southpaw jab and the occasional hard right hook.
In addition to that, we also discuss the frustrating nature of Zou Shiming, and the question of whether or not he is really the best thing for boxing in the supposedly fertile Chinese market. Also on the docket is Jessie Vargas, who just might be the next opponent for Pacquiao (groan) after an impressive and exciting win over Antonio Demarco.
