Tonight at 8:30 pm EST on NBC Sports Network, heavyweight Amir Mansour returns to the ring at the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, taking on Fred Kassi in the main event of a triple-header. We'll be here with live coverage, which will lead right into our later live coverage of Hopkins-Kovalev on HBO.
Mansour (20-1, 15 KO) is coming off of his first career loss, a wonderful fight earlier this year with Steve Cunningham. Kassi (18-2, 10 KO) is a 35-year-old from Cameroon originally, now living in New Orleans. He hasn't fought since August 2013, and has no real quality wins. These cards are now reduced to showcase pieces, as everyone awaits Al Haymon's deal with NBC to begin, but Mansour is a fun fighter to watch, and the 42-year-old heavyweight could find himself in another meaningful fight sooner than later.
In a 10-round light heavyweight bout, Vasily Lepikhin (16-0, 9 KO) will take on Jackson Junior (15-1, 13 KO). Hometown fighter Ronald Cruz (20-4, 15 KO) will face Dmitry Mikhaylenko (17-0, 6 KO) in a 10-round welterweight fight.
