Tonight at 10:45 pm EST, HBO World Championship Boxing is back with a double-header from Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall. In the main event, Bernard Hopkins and Sergey Kovalev square off in one of the most highly-anticipated fights of 2014.
Hopkins (55-6-2, 32 KO) will be defending the WBA and IBF light heavyweight titles against Kovalev (25-0-1, 23 KO) and his WBO belt, with the winner unifying three of the four recognized world titles at 175 pounds. Kovalev is a slight betting favorite, but that's nothing new for Hopkins, who has been in this position several times over his legendary career.
Either we see Kovalev potentially retire Hopkins tonight, or Hopkins makes history yet again at age 49. Either way, this is a must-see fight and one of the events of the year.
In the co-feature, Sadam Ali (20-0, 12 KO) takes on Luis Carlos Abregu (36-1, 29 KO) in a 10-round welterweight bout. We'll be here with live coverage and immediate post-fight results. Join us!
