Amir Khan will make a $950,000 purse for Saturday's Showtime main event, facing Devon Alexander, whose purse is set at $600,000 for the pivotal welterweight showdown, according to the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
Khan (29-3, 19 KO) and Alexander (26-2, 14 KO) are both in a must-win situation, particularly as the winner will potentially be in the running for a spring fight with Floyd Mayweather.
In the welterweight co-feature, Keith Thurman will make $500,000. Opponent Leonard Bundu will make $85,000.
Other purses:
- Abner Mares ($250,000) vs Jose Ramirez ($15,000)
- Jermall Charlo ($50,000) vs Lenny Bottai ($40,000)
Those are the four main fight cards to be aired on Showtime. Also in action on Showtime Extreme will be Victor Ortiz vs Manuel Perez, Jermell Charlo vs Mario Lozano, and Errol Spence vs Mike Arnaoutis, making for a full seven-fight card to be broadcast.
