Victor Ortiz picked up his first win since 2011 with a TKO-3 victory over Manuel Perez, with eyewitness Twitter reports noting that Ortiz was "typical Ortiz," and "got dinged up beforehand." Ortiz is now 30-5-2 (23 KO).
Beibut Shumenov (15-2, 10 KO) moved up to the cruiserweight division with a win over Bobby Thomas Jr (14-3-1, 9 KO). The former light heavyweight titlist stopped Thomas after five rounds.
Welterweight action star Yoshihiro Kamegai (25-2-1, 22 KO) stopped Oscar Godoy (13-4, 6 KO) at 1:58 of round four.
